Saturday night in New York. It’s when Times Square, the Village and Williamsburg are even more jammed — inside bars, restaurants, clubs and on the sidewalks. But there are many New Yorks, and many Saturday nights, and not all of them unfold in the same old places. That’s where we need your help:

Where do you go on a Saturday night in New York?

For our “Saturday Night In …” series, we are looking for those corners of New York where pretty much everyone converges from a few blocks away; where money that’s saved all week goes quickly; where people have fun; lovers meet, and split; some revelers drink too much, some not enough; where the crinkled singles and fives pile up on polished bars; smokers stand in knots outside the front door; where everyone is having a good time, except perhaps the splitting lovers.

If you hit the meatpacking district, that’s fine by us, but we’re not going to write about it. Nor will we write about your Saturday night if it’s sitting on the couch watching television, though we occasionally do that, too.

We want to visit those places where most of a neighborhood goes, to those lively strips folded into every corner of the city, from Tottenville to Eastchester. It doesn’t have to be a club — though we like clubs — nor a bar, which we like, too. Maybe you spend your Saturday nights on a bench by the water with friends, or on a basketball court. Tell us in the form below. Your favorite place could be where we visit next.

Thank you for your submission.
