Paris Fashion Week, Day 9: At the Finish Line

Louis Vuitton. The jewel in the LVMH crown has lately been showing its collections at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the Frank Gehry-designed museum in the Bois de Boulogne. It’s switching gears this season and showing in the raw bones of its new store-to-be on the Place Vendôme (opening date T.B.D.), where the Paris couture jewelers and couturiers have historically had their shops.

Moncler Gamme Rouge. It specializes in outerwear of the puffiest and most ski-friendly variety, so its designers have an extra challenge lobbed their way come the spring season. Luckily, the Gamme Rouge designer Giambattista Valli is an old hand, so practiced that he manages to design three separate labels each season (Giambattista Valli, Giamba and Gamme Rouge).
